Ungku Aziz resigns from Angkasa

PETALING JAYA: Royal Professor Ungku Aziz Abdul Hamid has resigned as president of the National Cooperatives Organisation of Malaysia (Angkasa) ahead of its elections tomorrow.
Angkasa general manager Nasir Khan Yahya confirmed Ungku Aziz’s resignation, saying he submitted the letter on Wednesday evening.
He said Ungku Aziz did not give a reason for his resignation.
Ungku Aziz, who had helmed the cooperative for 37 years, could not be reached for comment, but his wife Azah Aziz confirmed that he had resigned.
